The Georgian facade of the White Bear faces the centre of the market square in Shipston on Stour.
For many years the White Bear Hotel has been a meeting place in Shipston for locals.
The Bear, as it is known to the locals, is a lively traditional pub, offering good food and fine ales. You can be assured of a warm welcome from the friendly staff whether for a quick drink or a short break.
The two bars offer a variety of traditional real ales and lagers, whilst the cellar offers a variety of fine wines to suit all tastes and a fair selection of wines by the glass.
With a large heated outdoor area and free Wi-Fi internet access there is something for everyone.
Business Facilities:
This is suitable for a multitude of uses from early morning meetings, such as our local farmers breakfast meetings to say conferences and presentations. It holds between 30 seated to about 60 for discos/dances or small wedding receptions and wakes. It has its own bar and is perfect for a private get together.

Golf
There are various Golf Courses in the vacinity. Stratford on Avon has 4 courses. Brailes Golf Club is 10 minutes away. There are also several courses which overlook the Cotswolds.
Walks
Shipston is on the edge of the Cotswolds and is an ideal spot for walking through local villages, such as Chipping Campden, Broadway, Snowshill and many towns on the Fosse Way(an ancient Roman Road)Stow on the Wold.
Shooting
Warwickshire has many shoots, and also people practising Clay Pigeon shooting.
Falconry
Falconry displays are held at Mary Ardens House situated at Wilmcote, North of Stratford on Avon.
Mountain biking
There are many bridle paths throughout the area which are suitable for visitors to plan there cross country expiditions!!

Large room with a king-sized and a single bed. The king-sized bed can be unzipped to provide 3 full size single beds.

The White Bear is on the A3400, approximately ten miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon, thirty miles north of Oxford. It can be approached from Banbury (M40) along B4035 or along the A429 the Fosseway, an ancient Roman road, which lies just North of the town. The nearest train stations are in Banbury or Moreton in Marsh, which both have regular trains from London.
